I love romance, I love being a woman, and I love being a nudist

I lived for over 20 years in a small Texas town near San Antonio. After Bill and I retired, we bought a motor home and wanted to travel. We came across the nude lifestyle and wanted to give it a try.

Bill has an alternative health blog – www.alternative-health-news.com – and learned about the many benefits of Vitamin D that comes from sunshine. Since we can travel to the sunny climes, we went to Laguna Del Sol in Northern California. When the weather gets cold, we come to Florida and fell in love with Lake Como Resort.

I have always been a writer. My articles for Dog World Magazine and a book on dog training were my first successful writing attempts.

When I became a nudist, I felt that other women would be interested in the positive effect on body image that nudism gives a person. How to translate that into a book without sounding like a chamber of commerce piece was the problem.

I've always read romance books and the funny and interesting moments of my new experience became the fiction book, "Sun Kissed Bodies."

In our travels across the United States, we've stopped at seven different resorts. The book is a compilation of the amenities found at these resorts, plus the people I've met.

The nudist/naturist lifestyle is as complex as the people in the resorts. This affords hilarious adventures for my main characters – four women celebrating being women.

I love romance, I love being a woman, and I love being a nudist.

Denise Parlett, a Lake Como Family Nudist Resort resident, has completed her book of the contemporary-romance-erotica genre called “Sun Kissed Bodies.” She is currently setting up book signings and her book will be available on Amazon soon.

Denise was a featured nudist profile in the Feb. 13 issue of Pasco Naturally.

An excerpt from her book follows:

When Chrysalis got the e-mail invitation to her good friend’s birthday bash she was at first shocked and then intrigued and amused. She and her four childhood friends were all going to a two-week vacation in a nudist resort! The humorous revelations would change their ideas of nudity and the nude lifestyle forever.

Follow the “cottontails from Texas” in a hilarious, sometimes bawdy and always fast-moving saga of these young, otherwise normal women as they explore their wild side. Find out what happens behind those privacy fences.
